Apple Ink: Apple is planning to assemble iPhone SE in India
San Francisco: Apple Ink, one of the most prestigious technology companies in the world, plans to assemble its latest iPhone SE in India. According to sources, for this, the company has already informed one of its suppliers based in China to supply iPhone SE 2020 components to manufacturing partner Wistron India in India.
This news is coming at a time when the Indian government is also working towards making the country a manufacturing hub and is attracting companies from all over the world for this. The Apple Ink company wants to move a fifth of its production capacity in China to India. With this, in the next five years, manufacturing revenue of about Rs. Three lakh crore will be achieved. Assembling in India under the Make in India Initiative, the company will also have the advantage that it will not have to pay a 20 per cent duty on imported iPhones, which will make their phones much cheaper here.
